Diagnostic Testing

Neuropsychological testing is the initial step in assessing cognitive strengths and weaknesses.  The evaluation consists of assessing general intelligence, verbal skills, visual constructional abilities, processing speed, attention, execution functions, verbal and visual memory, reading, writing, math, emotional, behavioral, and psychological functioning.  Consequently, once cognitive functions have been assessed, appropriate rehabilitation methods to restore or compensate for any impaired functions can be implemented.
