Charlotte A. Tomaino, Ph.D. is a Clinical
Neuropsychologist who provides services for the diagnosis and treatment of
Learning Disabilities, Developmental Disorders and injuries to the brain
for over Twenty Years. Dr. Tomaino is a licensed Psychologist in New York
State and started the practice Neuropsychological Services of Westchester
in 1988. At
Neuropsychological services of Westchester Dr. Tomaino is responsible for
clinical assessment of all children and adults who seek services for brain
related issues. Through interpretation of Neuropsychological Testing
Results, Dr. Tomaino designs the treatment plans, coordinates and adapts
the services to create an integrated treatment model, provides supervision
as well as psychotherapy, family therapy and group therapy.
At present Dr. Tomaino has an appointment
at Burke Rehabilitation Center, part of Cornell University Medical College
Department of Neurology and Neurosciences, Division of Behavioral
Neurology as a Neuropsychological Rehabilitation Consultant. She is also
on the Board of Directors of the Brain Injury Association of New York
State and for 10 years facilitated the Westchester Chapter Support Group
for survivors of brain injury for the New York Brain Injury Association.
Dr. Tomaino is a former Advisory Board member for the Westchester CHADD
(Children with Attention Deficit Disorder) and Helen Hayes Hospital.

Dr. Tomaino received her Doctorate from
City University of New York specializing in the Diagnosis and Treatment of
Cognitive Dysfunction due to Central Nervous System Injury and
Developmental Disorders. Her dissertation consisted of an experimental
study which demonstrated the superior visual spatial skills of dyslexic
boys over the skills of normal readers. In addition, Dr. Tomaino received
supervised training in Diagnosis and treatment of brain function at Mount
Sinai Medical Center, Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and Medical Center
and spent one year working in a Cognitive Rehabilitation Center at Temple
Medical Center in New Haven, Connecticut.
